Fuck it all and evacuate

"Fuck it!" Evelyn exclaims and turns as she sprints back the way she came, reaching the docking port as she toggles it, pushes herself in and slams the airlock cycling button. "Warning! Depressurization is active, stay clear of airlock while in operation!" the airlock's familiar sound provides a moment of relief to her tension as the red lights flash. As she enters the Winterlynx, Evelyn runs to the pilot seat with no time to lose, slamming on the controls as the ship's engines roared to life, detaching itself from the Avalon as she shakes her head and slams hard on the accelerator.

The Winterlynx bellows and whirrs, its FTL engines kicking in as the ship accelerates into hyper-speed allowing Evelyn to navigate it past the asteroid field safely into quantum jump back towards civilization, leaving the rest of the fated crew behind on the Avalon to get fucked.
