Friday Breakfast
The kitchen is a flurry of activity. Morgane is on breakfast duty, while Sybil and Niemira are the only two girls currently eating. You kiss them all good morning and wait for your food. Just as it arrives Gloria and Belka enter, soon followed by Anna, and you have to pause again to greet each with a kiss.
“Any plans today?” you ask.
“I plan to seduce you, so that you ravage me all day,” Sybil responds with a wink.
“Sounds wonderful, but unfortunately I have to work, so I can’t spend all day ravaging you.”
Sybil playfully pouts. Niemira appears to fall for the joke, though. “Hey, that’s unfair. She’s on night duty. She can’t spend all day and night being ravaged by you. The rest of us want a turn.”
“You had me all Wednesday night. Haven’t you had enough of me?”
“Never. I don’t believe it’s possible to have enough of you.”
The girls laugh and nod at that. Sybil pauses in her laughter and turns to Anna. “Well, Anna, you spent over three weeks as his only lover, how was it? Is it possible to have enough of him?”
Anna looks around the table. She sighs. “Like falling into heaven. But exhausting.”
The way she says those last two words sets all the girls laughing again. She waits until the laughter dies before turning her attention to you. “No girl in her right mind will ever tire of sex with you, but there’s a lot to recommend spreading it out.” There’s more laughter and nods to that.
“Seriously, though, is anyone doing anything beyond their duties?”
It appears Belka’s about to speak, but she’s still overawed by her presence at the table. The household can feel intimidating at first. Gloria steps in for her.
“Morgane and I are going to take the estate and go back to Belka’s, to pick up her stuff.”
“I thought you’d brought her stuff over yesterday.”
“Just clothes and valuables. I still need to bring over my paintings and a few pieces of furniture.”
“You took the wrong car yesterday, didn’t you?” Gloria’s not a fan of driving the estate, which is the biggest car in the garage.
“I didn’t know she’d have so much stuff,” is Gloria’s response. “And we need Morgane to help carry some of it.”
“As long as it doesn’t interfere with your duties.”
“I’m on laundry duty. I’ve already put my load into the washing machine. I’ll hang it out to dry before I go.”
“Just don’t shirk.” Laundry duty is the least popular duty, and at the beginning several of girls, including Gloria, did a poor job. Ironing is the least popular part, but some of the girls had a habit of doing small loads or just their clothes. You can’t have that. There are 10 people, no 11 people, in the household, which means a lot of clothes to wash, and with the amount of sex going bedsheets need changing regularly. Which leads to a lot of laundry. Hence why laundry duty is handed out most days.
“It’s a big load,” Gloria insists. You leave it at that. You want to believe her. If she does shirk the duty, Lucy will be quick to inform you.
“I was wondering,” Belka starts asking. When she sees all the eyes fall on her she flushes. “There’s a lot of wall space. Would you object if I put some of my paintings up?”
You hadn’t thought of that. “In the west wing, that’s your space. It’s up to you girls what you put up. But we can talk about hanging some of your paintings in the rest of the house.”
“I was thinking of hanging some in the office.”
“When you bring them over, we can have a look. Might brighten the place up a bit.”
Any further conversation is broken by the arrival of Lucy, trying to look stern and important. She’s soon chasing those who’ve finished their breakfasts away, and that includes you.
You ask Lucy to follow you to the office. She’s confused but complies.
“Can you organise a meeting with Gloria this afternoon?” you ask when you’re there.
“What about?”
“That’s between me and Gloria. I’d rather discuss it with her first. If she wants to tell the rest of you afterwards that’s fine, but for now just organise the meeting.”
“Should I stop her helping Belka?”
“No, no, she can do that. I’m sure they’ll be back for lunch, so when she’s free after lunch is fine by me. It’s not urgent, I’d just like to talk to her about something I learnt recently.”
Lucy nods, but you can tell she’s intrigued. She’s experienced enough to know she’ll find out what it’s about eventually, so lets it drift. You head to your main office and get back to writing your review about the Avengers movie.
