Freedom?

Pacing back and forth, you can't make sense of anything. Nothing weird had happened yesterday. Was it yesterday? How long had you been there? Normally you were a light sleeper, so how were you transferred to a whole new room in a whole new building and given or had something done to you to make you turn into a girl?

It had to be a dream, a super creepy, incredibly realistic dream where physical pain was very much a possibility, where panic didn't wake you.

You scoff and tears well up in your eyes, and you run your hands through your hair again.

Suddenly there is a very audible click from the door, and it opens just a bit.

Trepidation washes over you as you state at the door, expecting it to open wide and someone to step through, but as the ringing in your ears increases, the door doesn't budge.

Cautiously, you make your way to the door and peek through the crack.

No one. The hall outside your room was clear. You open the door more and check tho other direction, but there was no one down that way either. Everything just seemed silent.

Throwing open the door, you ran out into the hall and to the corner, your bare feet slapping against the tile.

Peeking around the corner you found no one, just more doors.

You darted down the hall, your body feeling foreign and uncomfortable. Peering around the corner again you found an elevator. You quickly run to it and press the call button, jumping into it as soon as the doors opened.

Looking at the panel your heart sank, there were twelve white buttons, split into two colums of six each, with nothing indicating where they would take you.
