I looked down into Sarah’s twin emerald orbs and I knew right there my answer couldn’t have been other than the one I so desperately wanted to give her. I smiled.

“Of course I forgive you, Sarah,” I said to her, watching as a huge smile plastered itself over her beautiful face. “I miss my best friend too.”

Sarah then launched herself into me and I wrapped my arms around her. “Thank you, thank you.” She chanted repeatedly.

I felt like a huge weight just fell from my back, I had never quite realized how being at odds with Sarah affected me. I became an entirely different person at California, trusting no one and looking for meaningless sex every night.

“You’re welcome.” I whispered into her ear.

“I can’t believe you two are friends again,” Emma said, excitedly. “If I knew this would happen, I would’ve gotten married a long time ago.”

Sarah and I laughed at my sister’s eagerness, it was a refreshing scene after all those gloomy years away. “Thanks for the support, sis.”

“Oh, my God, everyone’s staring at us!” Sarah exclaimed. I looked around and it was true, all the other guests were already in position for the rehearsal, except for us.

“That’s what I’ve came to warn you about,” Emma laughed. “Let’s rehearsal and then you two can talk more when we take a break, okay?”

I nodded and held out my hand for Sarah to take. She smiled as I took her dainty hand in mine and we walked over to join the others.
