Chapter 3
by the quiet type
Well?
Forget this, lets go back the way we came. [M/M]
It suddenly occurs to you that you didn't properly explore when you were in the beginning, to taken in by the scenery to give it much thought. Before you get completely lost in Wonderland, you decide to make sure you didn't accidently miss anything and head backwards, going back down the path.
...Or, rather, up the path. Apparently you had been standing on a hill, and hadn't noticed in your hurry to move on. Climbing back up, past where you started, you're shocked to see a huge landscape on the other side of the hill. It was a great, grassy chess board, and in the distance you could see odd animals, like elephants with wings, and black zebras with white stripes, rather then white zebras with black stipes. Looking even further, you could see a town , though it was on the other side of the chess board. To walk there would take forever.
"If you're deciding your next move, I would try the train," a man said behind you, "A pawn can't go far, but the train will get your further, faster."
You whirl around and see a strikingly handsome young man, a knight, sitting on top a great stead, covered in odd items that looked handmade. He would have been the picture of brilliance...had he not been sitting slightly crooked, appearing to be more hanging onto the horse for dear life with his legs rather then actually riding it.
"Hello, young sir," the white knight grinned, raising a hand in greeting, though the unsteadiness of this made him slide to the side more, "What are you doing over here on the red side of the chess board? Don't you know its dangerous here for white pawns?"
"Yes!" Shouted someone else, and before you can blink a red knight rode in, putting his horse between you and the white knight, looking proud and fierce and oddly sexy, even from just the back, as he sneered, "It is! And this is now my prisoner, White Knight, so I suggest you just keep on walking!"
The Red Knight sounded very menacing, but you can't bring yourself to feel overly threatened as, looking at him, you realize he's as unsteady on his horse as the White Knight was, practically falling out of his seat in his earnestness. Doesn't anyone know how to ride a horse in this world?
"Oh!?" The White Knight shouted, clearly angry, "You think I'll just stand by and watch some poor pawn get captured? I am a Knight, and I hereby place this pawn under my protection, and will duel you for him!" He cried, bringing out his sword, though how he remained on his horse was pure luck, as the actual **** of the swing sword brought the knight down, under, and back over in a 360 display back onto his horse. Neither Knight blinked at this as the Red Knight brought out his own sword more gently and said darkly, "If you insist, I will be happy to shed your blood this day, for the glory of the Red Queen!"
Though your finding yourself oddly flattered over this battle over you, you've never been much for ****, and wonder if you should intervene; though, looking at the determination in their faces, it might be dangerous for you to do so. Do you stand back and let them fight it out for you, call out for peace, or run from these two psychos while they're distracted?
What do you do?
