Fool's Gold

Jake chose a page titled 'Fool's Gold'. It read:

INGREDIENTS
1 Leprechaun's coin
5 Rusty iron nails
1 tsp Liquid sulfur
100mL Blood from an unwilling victim
200mL Water

Jake rummaged around in the cupboards until he found the right ingredients. He lined them up in a row on the bench top. Following the instructions in the book, Jake poured the water into a pot, then slowly added the other ingredients, mixing as he went. He then put the pot onto the stove, and waited until it was simmering. Jake finally poured out the liquid into a cup, making sure to leave the metal inside the pot. He cautiously drank it all. To his surprise, Jake found a silver coin at the bottom.
