Follow

I follow Wanda, hoping she can provide me with another lead. We weave our way away from the retreat, deeper into the forest.

“Are we almost there?”

She looks back at me with a creepy smile.

Suddenly I feel an odd pinch in the back of my neck. I they to turnaround, but my knees buckle. Blackness overtakes me.

I open my eyes. I have a splitting headache. I sit up. I briefly wonder what happened to me. However, my concerns ebb away. It simply isn’t important. I turn my car on.

Somehow I know Wanda didn’t kill Hal and further questioning her would be pointless.

I drive back towards the city. As I reach an intersection I see a car blow through a red light. Ordinarily such an offense would annoy me, however for some reason I find myself slightly aroused.
