Follow the trail of slime

Jane crept through the old tunnels as quietly as she could. The worn square blocks that made up the floor were wet and mossy. The soft soles of Jane's leather shoes allowed her feet to bend around the eroded stones to keep her footing. She was able to make her way quite deeply into the tunnels with only the occasional splash from a misplaced step to announce her presence.

But something in the dark did not need to be alerted any further. It had been tracking her since she had entered the dark passage. Jane cast her eyes about the dimly lit corridor wary of possible attack.

From the corner of her eye, Jane saw a sudden movement. She whipped her head around to peer into the dark corner. She gripped the hilt of her short sword tightly, keenly aware that it was unwise to strike without a clear view of her opponent.
