Follow the Captain

While the sound of battle erupted along the main street in the village, we moved faster and faster toward the Keep. We headed away from the building fronting the Keep.
As we head toward the building between us and the keep, a large Orc emerged from the shadows! He carried a large simitar and swung it at Captain Dragon.

I was surprised at how slow the Captain reacted. He tried to raise his sword but only managed to deflect the blade. It still cut a shallow groove across the Captains chest, send blood spattering across the wall of the building we were behind.

I had my sword out and quickly swung the tip across the Orc's throat! It only took a few seconds for the foul creature to die.

As Captain Dragon lay wreathing on the ground, the slash on his chest oozing blood, two things became obvious; he wasn't going any further, and he wasn't going to die from the cut on his chest.

"Hey" you yell at him to get his attention, "Where are we going to get into the Keep from and what are we going to do when we get there?"

Even though you thought he was a bit of a wimp for reacting to his wound the way he did, he proved himself a little by concentrating on what you were asking and giving you an answer.

"Follow the wall until you reach the end of the moat. There is a door there. Push on the third stone from the bottom to open it." The Captain explained. "Tell the Captain of the Guard that the Orcs are after the Eye of the Tiger! He'll know what to do!"

The Captain collapsed at that point. Maybe his wound was worse than you thought.
