Chapter 9
by ShamusBaran
How should you field the topic of Relationships?
Flings are totally cool in your book.
"Hey, it's all good," you say. "That's what college is all about right? Not like I have any issue with a girl with some notches on her bedpost."
Diane gives you a glowing smile. "Exactly! I'm not stupid with it. I keep it covered and plus I got a connection."
"A connection?"
"A friend. She's a med student. All I gotta do is make a phone call and I can find out how clean a dude is. You know how they have us do quarterly medical exams? It's because they keep a tight record of every student on the campus."
"No shit? That's... kinda creepy actually."
"Dystopian shit for reals, but if it keeps my lady cave crab free, I'm down with it."
You did wonder about the checkups, and how certain guys and girls never seemed to get attention from others... the 'list' she mentioned is little more than a rumor to your knowledge, but it would be undeniably useful. It might be worth the trouble of meeting this connection of hers.
"So... this med student friend? She hot?"
"Hell yeah she is, but she's one of those: 'get married before fucking' fossils. She's the worst sort. Lucky for me... she and I look a lot alike..."
"I don't follow..."
"She points the hot ones my way. I don't mind playing doctor."
You laugh. "You got it all figured out, I guess."
This makes for a good opening on two fronts. You could push the point of getting cozy with her, or you could ask about this connection...
What do you ask about?
