Flee.

You rise up and run. You don't even look. Headlong into the dark night, your feet tread dangerous pathways. He's dead. He's dead. It barely seems real, but, you saw it happen!

Out of breath, you stumble alongside the road. The distance, you realize, is far. Running, or walking, (In these shoes?) will no longer sustain you to get home. You entertain the thought of flagging down a car. It's dangerous, but how unlucky can you possibly be in one week? You're due for a little good faith, right?

You step out into the road and wait for the next car to arrive.
