First day of real work.

You wake up with Kamrin laying next to you half on you half off you and with Pam curled up besides you as well. It seems you had been sleeping on your back, you take a moment to clear your thoughts of the week to try and understand things and you just can't help but feel something is missing. Either way, you have to get up. You kiss Kamrin on the face and then turn to Pam and do the same before you remove yourself from the bed. The void you leave is quickly filled when Pam rolls over and Kamrin curls up to her.

You look around your room a second Shelly is still asleep, you notice a stack of clothing. As well as more then one note, you shrug. As you notice that there is also more then one stack of clothing. your pretty sure that all the clothing is yours, you just shrug and pick up the first note.

The first note reads:

Alex, here are your work clothes. There is three pairs, just how you wanted them. They are a blue shirt with, black kilt instead of pants. They are a bit longer then normal as to allow you to sit down and not reveal anything should you not wish to use underwear. I also included boxers as well, they are in another stack, and there are also belts. I made sure that Stitch made different sets per request. It was Signed Max.

You shrug and look at the second note, it reads :

Alex, I made a few changes to the order based on your personal taste. Taken from a profile we got when we entered your house, and I did my best to remake some of your favorite outfits but in your new sizes. I did this at the suggestion of Lisa, she figured it might make you feel better. I also made the pants kilts instead of pants thou I did make a pair of pants just in case you need them. I also made underclothing in the boxer brief format. As you know the kilt is ok here and in public, and it reflects your personal taste and it assist you to be you so we felt it good to go with it. You know as well as all of us now how little we care if someone is naked around us. Anyway, I made a few of your ironic T-shirts into something more your size. As well as a, some other classic standard standbys I hope that is ok. It seems your original order was better for your work clothing then for your all time wear. Not that we have anything against you wearing your uniform at all times. Lisa, also got baby fangs, from Pam's mother and Molly and made you a necklace with a few of them. She used a few of her baby teeth as well, they should look a lot like the wolf fangs. We had tried to come up with some other necklace or talisman but Lisa felt this was the best way to go with the teeth. It of course was signed -Stitch

The third and final note reads :

Alex, I hope you like the necklace. I will come by to visit sometime soon once I have time. There is a lot of back work to get done, we have to make Petra's and Abby's clothing.

You think to yourself and now Pam's as well. You shrug to yourself as you finish reading. It says " I hope your first day of work is easy on you, things can get pretty strange around here if your not looking out for it." And of course it was signed - Lisa.

You smile to yourself and look down at the necklace made from the teeth, at first you wonder how it is going to fit. But then realize they had taken proper measurements so you reach down and pick it up. You notice the fang in the middle is clearly one of Pam's and the two next to it are clearly Petra's so the last two must be Lisa's. You smile and put it on around your neck, it fits pretty well. You figure it is better then a tie for the most part. You grab one of the blue shirts and put it on, and it is clear the teeth on the necklace can still be seen when you wear a shirt. You then grab one of the black kilts and put it on, it feels pretty good. You grab a pair of boxers, and the belt and put it into the kilt as it should be done to wear the kilt.

You look in a mirror and you realize this is the first time you have looked normal besides your size in almost a week if not longer. You smile to yourself before finally saying " Time you guys all get up, I need Pam to get dress. And Kamrin has a class to teach. And Shelly needs to learn, thou I hope she learns her lesson fast so I don't ever need to be bothered by her again."

Shelly sticks out her tongue and says " You big bully."

You smile back and say " I was just playing anyway, everyone up!!"

Pam yawns and notices that Kamrin is laying right next to her and shakes herself making Kamrin nearly jump. It seems Kamrin can get as tired as you do go figure? Kamrin calms down and collects herself, clears her eyes rubbing them and so on and then stands up.

Kamrin turns to Shelly saying " It is true we do have to go eat or get to class one or the other, I am betting on eating." And the two of them leave but first Kamrin gives you a kiss and says " You look good dressed up as if you got somewhere to go, and the teeth are a nice touch." You shrug to yourself as if you had any control of what your wearing.

Pam comes up to you and looks right at you and nods and says " That does look pretty good on you Alex, thou I think it would look funny on anyone else."

You shake your head and say " What do you mean this is basically the same uniform everyone else wears." Just then you look down and realize your name is on the blue shirts, stitched in Alex. You had never really noticed if Max's shirts had his name on it.

Pam then says " My mother had said Lisa had come by again with a request, but mother also had work for Stitch to do. She needed blankets and other work done, but Lisa had asked Mother for my Baby Fangs that must be one of them." With that she reaches out and to touch the necklace, she smiles to herself before letting go of it.

You nod and say " The notes say they are, I think it was a good move to say the least. Because this way all of you are always close to me."

Pam smiles and nods and says " So what am I to put on?"

You grab one of the other Kilts, it seems to be a jean style kilt. And hand it to Pam, and then grab an Ironic T-shirt, It reads " My Existence Laughs at God." once Pam puts it on you toss her a belt. You also realize what the Shirt says.

You ask " Is that T-shirt Design from the gift shop?"

Pam looks down to read it and says " Nope but it should be, and not a single Animorphs existence laughs at god more then Petra's, yours or mine."

You look at Pam and say " I am not an Animorph, I don't honestly know what I am and in fact that is true of you or Petra as well."

Pam nods and says " I still like the shirt." With a huge smirk, you look down and notice that even thou it is a bit big for her it frames her chest just about right and the text is just across her tits. You shake your head and look down to find socks and shoes and put them on yourself.

You turn to Pam and say " I have to get to work but, I have to get a bite first any idea how we can grab a fast bite without getting a full meal?"

Pam smiles and says " That is easy, we just go and get sandwiches I see the humans eat them all the time."

So the two of you run to the Cafeteria, for which you realize needs a new name mostly. And you wonder why no one named it or the Cafe something other then the two. You grab two sandwiches one simple roast beef, the other was some kind of breakfast sandwich but it was big. Heck they are both kinda big as a whole, you see Pam grab the same thing you did.

Pam then shrugs and says " I figured since I liked onion rings, I should try other things you like to eat. And these are easier to eat like this yes?"

You just nod and ask " Can you lead me to were I am suppose to be then, I mean you know the way we also need to get you a blue collar."

So you start to eat your breakfast sandwich as you walk, It's pretty good it taste kinda like they put a chicken fried steak and an omelet onto the same sandwich. But without the gravy, it is hard to say maybe the Steak was in the omelet and they simply placed it all on a nice piece of bread but it is good!!!

Pam also seems to be eating hers as she leads you in the direction you need to go, she stops to say " So this is why you guys eat things with all kinds of spices and so on. It does taste a lot different then the stuff I am use to eating."

You just nod as she pulls you this way and that and you try not to make a mess of what your eating in the hall, she comes to a stop in front of a door it reads. Staff Center. You shrug having no idea what that means, it is kinda a strange label.

So Pam and you enter the room your also both just about to finish the first sandwich when Max notices you and comes over. He seems to be smiling, your not sure why but he is.

He looks at Pam and says " That is ironic, thou I am not sure I have had the honor of meeting you before."

Pam stuffs the last of her sandwich in her mouth and then chews and swallows it and says " Max, it's me Pam. I need a Blue collar it would seem." Max smirks and pulls a collar out of his pocket and hands it to her. She switches them out and hands him the red one and smiles.

You are about to say something when Max says " I already knew Alex, don't worry about it. It was not hard to figure out as you came here who she was. I also saw the T shirt and felt the need to comment. I see she is wearing your clothing that was made, I guess she has to talk to stitch."

You nod and then say " I need to have her go and talk to her mother so she can turn back into herself, I get the feeling the Elder is mostly better for coaching her to do it. I mean I understand my own urges helped Abby and Petra learn to return to normal or what have you but they were both wolves like I was or felt I am it is hard to explain. But her mother the Elder is the one who helped me turn into a saber cat I think it is best that way which is why she is wearing clothing."

Max nods and says " Figured as much, I need to get another clerk to watch after you for a bit Alex, you need to learn faces or at least names or something. You got a lot to learn more or less and a lot of time to do it. So I will call over the clerk to help you in a second in less you have a request that is."

You look at Max a second and then say " Can't Molly just do this, I mean can't I tag along with her and help her with her work til I learn names and so on and understand how things are done or at least better how they are done?"

Max nods and waves someone over and there is Molly smiling really big, she says " We figured you would prefer this, so I was here ready to help you get started at least. You might have to work with another tech in a week or two when I start to show more. But til then we should be fine."

You look at Molly and realize you got food in your hand and offer it to her saying " You have anything to eat?" Molly shakes her head and takes the sandwich and starts to eat it.

Max then says " In the staff room we tend to have food about, thou most of the time they are things for humans. Staff who are transformed into Animorphs are rarely doing heavy work, but Molly is going to be helping you so maybe I should get them to bring in some raw bits of food I had not realized I should have done that. Also, work starts when you wake up. It is over once you have finished any major tasks that are given to you that day. Or once you get told by me or someone else the day is over. So don't worry about it Alex you will learn and you got Molly to help you."

You nod and look at Molly as the bread gets stuck to the roof of her mouth and you laugh and say " Well sorry Molly I forgot that bread sucks for Animorphs to eat, But I guess you were hungery?"

Molly just nods and Max says " I am going to have Molly and yourself, go check on the different Animorph types. We have some Interesting things for you to see that you did not notice or realize on the first Tour and there are things for you to learn as you do it."

You shrug and ask " What am I suppose to do well I am there? Am I bring buckets of food or anything?"

Max looks at you and says " Feel free to do so if you think it might help."

You shrug and look at Molly who just nods as she finishes the sandwich and says " Good idea Alex, you see we have to check to make sure the Animorphs are happy with every little thing. You might need to put red collars on your belt before you leave each morning as well once you become an official clerk you never know when you might need them."

You look at Max and realize he has both red and blue on his belt and he says " I got blue because I tend to be the one who gives them to the humans, If you are not transformed Alex you don't really need to wear it same with Petra and Abby and Pam now, but if they prefer it or you do as well you can."

You shrug and say " I guess I have to just jump right in now and learn." You see Max nod and Molly leads you back to the Cafeteria.

Once there Molly says to the lady behind the counter " I need three buckets of meat bits please."

The person behind the counter hurries to bring them over to her you pick up two of them and Molly picks up one. Molly looks around as if she is trying to figure out what way she is going and then sets out on the direction she seems to wish to go so you follow behind her.

Molly then says " You look good in the uniform, I am sure as a wolf you would still look good in that. I also noticed you got the Fang Necklace that Lisa had wanted to make, she got baby teeth from me that had been Petra's." You nod to yourself because she is leading the way.

Molly then says " The hall ways in here all have marks on them at intersections, if it says A-1 you are at the meeting of Hall A and Hall 1. You can sometime come across Halls marked like this as well, A-1A this is to suggest that all of the numbers have been taken we only use 1-9 and so A to Z as well. So you can also meet Halls that might also look like this A1-A1 or AB-AB make sense? I mean this place is huge, and we only have 26 letters and Nine Numbers for crossing and intersecting hallways. Thou most of the time, if a Hall has A in it chances are it is near A meaning if you follow it long enough you will find the roots you need to get to were your going. Also Like your Room, it is on M-9. We don't use 10 or 0 so we can't have a two digit number only letter and a numbers or two letters."

You nod as best as you can and remember that your room is in fact in hall M-9.

Molly then says " All the numbers are cross halls, and as a whole there is less of them then the others. There are few that would have two sets of letters as the last example or even one letter or one number as the second to the last example I gave you. Most of the whole number Hallways connect to the main parts of the shop, the other letters or other stuff. Heck there are some halls or rooms that are only connected to a dead end and that is showed as A1 or A2 in these samples as in they are at the end of the hall and chances are they are the only thing down that way. But things connect to them if that helps explain things. Its kinda like saying Wing A1, which suggests all that path takes you to is a single hallway going off into the rock face. Oh and the only rooms with labels tend to be the ones that Staff or customers might use. Like each of the Habitat entrances has a label if it happens to be one that the customers go into. Things like the Staff Center and rooms that are related to jobs and offices and tasks are labeled for said jobs this also includes the park and the springs or bath house depending on how you look at it, because the shop has both springs and a public bath house which is different as well as the Cafe. Other ways they are just the room numbers and the halls that cross near them."

You just nod, as you follow her as she walks up to a marking that just shows B3 and she turns and goes to the end of it and opens the door. She steps in and you follow behind her with the bits of food. Before entering you simply ask " So I guess that means we have used the springs?" She nods to this and you start to wonder how the public bath is different from the springs since both are used to get clean.
