First Experiment

The first order of business was to acquire some test subjects. Unfortunately ISES denied my requests for a dozen test subjects from their volunteer program, as although they had cleared my invention as being of no immediate danger I suppose they were wary of any unforeseen accidents that may occur. I was **** to source them myself. As you might imagine the true purpose of my experiments would have to be kept secret so I needed a plausible cover and in fact I'd already thought of one.

I put my assistants to work spreading the word, a swimming competition was to be held at the local swimming pool two weeks from now, the winner gets £500. The perfect front if I may say so myself. While the hopeful entrants of the competition were using the two weeks to practice swimming we were setting up our equipment, the owner of the pool was initially skeptical about our installations but thankfully he was eventually very understanding and was happy to help us in our data collection after I explained to him that we were simply recording the swimmers underwater to research swimming techniques from a better angle. Our equipment was ready and a few days before the competition I was sure to test my equipment and fortunately everything was fully functional, except for a rather embarrassing oversight, we had a severe lack of screens to actually view the competition. Everything we had was being used to monitor the machines. I went out and bought a nice 55 inch 4K screen to watch it on.

The day of the competition had come and there was a surprising amount of people that entered, 31 in total
