Eliot parked his truck at the beach at 11:55, looking around for his new friend. As he approached the water, he noticed there was a new boat tied to the pier. It was a large expedition boat that could have easily held an entire tourist group on board. On the sides were cameras, searchlights, and fishing rods. Eliot was definitely impressed at the scope of Anna's equipment.
Anna strode down the gangplank to the pier, still wearing her clothes from that morning. "Hey there, Dr Eliot!" She said cheerfully. "Nice to see you arrived! And with clothes on!"
Eliot glanced down at his simple black jeans, polo shirt, and fishing boots. "Yeah, that lake creature seems to like getting me naked."
Anna rolled her eyes in annoyance. "You gotta be careful with these monsters, Doc. No telling what they'll do to a young man like you."
Her words made Eliot look up in surprise. "Wait, monsters? As in plural? Have you caught monsters before?"
Anna ignored him and untied the boat from the pier. "C'mon, Doc! We're burning moonlight here!"
Eliot decided to forget his inquiry and ran onto the boat next to Anna. Within minutes, she had the boat engine up and running, sending the two sailing into the lake. Eliot kept a close eye on the water, waiting for the moment when the she-creature would come after him. All the while praying she wouldn't embarrass him in front of his only believer.
