Val may not have been the stereotypical nerd like the members of Alpha Omega Pi but she would nerd out on cars, often surprising garage mechanics that a gorgeous buxom brunette could know more about cars than them. It wasn't until that night that she gained respect for Jerry and his friends -- they were passionate about their hobbies as much as she was with hers.

"I must admit this is the most fun on a Friday night I've had that didn't involve ****," Val laughed.

'Or sex,' she thought.

"Actually we do have some beer in the fridge," Jerry said, "but we usually don't drink during the game because it could affect us going out of character."

"Does Inara drink?" Val asked.

"She's a Companion, so yes she will with a client," Matt answered.

"Well, since I'm with a client on Sihnon I'm going to grab a beer," Val responded before standing up. "Anyone else want a beer?"

"Sure since Mal is in a bar meeting his contract," Jerry answered.

Matt was going to protest but gave up when the other players wanted beers too. They continued to play with a few more drinks until people started to get drowsy from sleepiness and the ****.

"It's almost 4 am. I think we should call it," Kevin suggested.

"Sure," Matt yawned.

"Do you mind if I crash here for the night?" Val asked.

"No problem," Jerry smiled.
