Find Penelope a place to sleep

Mr. Andersen has four kids, so it wasn’t surprising that the house at his lake lot had some extra bedrooms—which fit in perfectly with the Master Plan. You did, however, want to give Penelope some privacy, since she was, after all, a youngster not quite sexually mature. you find the master breaker and turn on the power. The air conditioner immediately whirs to life. You uncover the furniture, which is actually quite lovely. Richly finished mahogany basked in the pair’s gaze as one after another you remove the sheets covering each item of furniture. The couch, loveseat and easy chairs are plush and well-upholstered. You find the master bedroom and begin turning down the bed, instructing Penelope to pick whichever room she wants. Finding the linen closet, You pull some sheets and begin to dress the bed. When you finish, you make a quick search and find Penelope dressing the bed in the smallest of the rooms, an interior room.

“Why this one?” you ask.

“Can’t sleep with windows.” she replies. “Besides, this one has a race car bed.” She gives you a little smile, but you can sense something else. You put your hand gently, comfortingly on her shoulder, and her brave front quivers, then crumbles. You hug her to your chest as she begins to weep, thoughts of her parents flooding her mind, as well as another thought. The guys in suits had come through the windows. If she had been a millisecond slower, the berretta, its muzzle lengthened by the silencer, would have put a hole in her forehead too. You let her cry herself out on your shoulder. It is best if she gives vent to her grief. Plucking a stray thought from her mind, you find that her father would always fix her hot chocolate when she is upset. You carry her downstairs to the kitchen and make the beverage in the cappuccino machine. There is a bit of a cappuccino aftertaste to the beverage, but it seems to make Penelope feel better. “Thanks.” she says.
