Fight the Vipers

Madeline leveled her weapon at the group. She fired. One of the Vipers went down limp. She fired more as the group began to scatter. She thought she hit the second one but they started firing back with laser weapons and old pipe weapons while the woman rushed her with a savage looking blade.

Madeline cut down the would be rusher and continued to fire into the ruins even as she took cover herself. She reloaded her weapon and poked her head around the corner to find the Vipers, or maybe they were Fiends--there were too many gangs to know--had fled. She stayed still for a while longer to make sure it wasn't a ruse. She then crept away toward the east.
