Fearlessness

"Can you make me fearless?" Jake asked.

"You will need payment", the jinn reminded him.

"Is this enough?" he asked, holding them out.

The jinn examined the coins for a moment.

"That will do", it said.

The coins vanished from Jake's hand. The jinn shimmered in the air. Jake felt a rush of confidence. He knew he could do anything.

"Thank you", he said gratefully.
