Fatal Miscalculation

“Sir, I just came from that direction and I didn’t see any broken down vehicles.” He says, you see his hand go back to resting on his weapon.

With a quick decision, your hand flashes to your pocket and you begin to pull out your gun. Seeing your movement to officer drops into stance and brings his weapon out its holster bringing it up.

Both of you fire at the same time, and you fire two round the first hit’s the officer in his right thigh and the second go wide to the right. His though are more accurate his first round hits you in the abdomen ripping through your stomach and intestines. His second and third rounds though hit you in the heart and prove instantly fatal.

You fall to the ground, and as your vision dims at least you have the satisfaction of dying out in the open air looking up at the stars instead of a cage.
