(Note, this fallout game is different than the others in that the gender of the vault dweller is actually cannon and thus not up for debate)

Well, it happened. The water chip that gave your home, vault 13, pure and clean water has given up and malfunctioned. The vault will die if it doesn't receive a new chip soon.

'JohnDoe' the vault overseer says to you as he put his hand on your shoulder and looks straight into your eyes. "You cannot fail us.We need you to save this vault.You understand this right?' He asks you he gives you a 10mm pistol, a knife and a few stimpacks.

you can only nod as you look at him as yo hear the sound of the vault door opening and alerting you that your time in vault 13 is over and your on your way out. you turn around and slowly walk out of the metallic home that you called your home. For your people.
