Chapter 4 by The-Drunken-Bandit The-Drunken-Bandit

What do you choose?

Fairly odd parents

While the later seasons were crap, the earlier ones shouldn't be to bad.

So with a quick click of your remote you are greeted with the sight of a simple selection menu that all dvd box sets have, but with that said you notice something rather odd about this menu as there is a strange option at the very bottom of the screen that says "Character selection." So, out of curiosity you click on the new menu option and are greeted with a strange street fighter like selection screen that contains all the characters of the show on it.

Well... this is strange. You arnt quite certain what you should make of this selection screen.

Is it a lore page that details the background lore of the characters listed? Is it collection of the best hits of each character? Or is it something else?

Well... there's only one way to find out and so you quickly select three characters from the list and ask yourself which one should you examine more closely.

  1. Wanda: One of the main primary protagonists of the series, Wanda is the swirly pink haired fairy god parent who acts as the voice of reason. A voice of reason that is often ignored by the two other protagonists of the series, Her god child and husband, Timmy and Cosmo respectively. Much to her own personal suffering, that said you cant help but ask yourself how in the hell did she marry cosmo, let alone stay married to that idiot. Its a question that many characters in the show ask themselves quite often, that said in the show she has always remained loyal and in love with Cosmo, Sometimes to her own Suffering as their relationship has turned toxic on more than one occasion. Hell, you can even recall that wanda has even entertained the fantasy's of leaving Cosmo for other men, her Ex-boyfriend being one of the best examples of this. Maybe this selection holds the secrets to why she stayed married to that green haired dope.
  2. Mrs. Turner: Ah… Yes the ditzy and neglectful mother of the series protagonist, Timmy Turner. While Mrs. Turner’s first name isn’t actually no, what is known is rather surprising. Apparently, Mr. Turner is a well-trained spy for the Russian KGB and has been working in the United States a double agent against the CIA. This little fact is glossed over but it is mentioned, that said this little detail has been forgotten over the course of the entire series. So, more than likely this was most likely a throwaway gag created by the series creator. Still, interesting little tidbit to the normally ditzy and dense mother. That said, Mrs. Turner is in his batters her male half, Mr. Turner, as her husband is significantly worse when put in to comparison to the mother of the series protagonist. This, is mainly because of the fact that when Mrs. Turner is alone and separated from her husband she seems to gain a great deal of competence and intelligence. A strange yet, fascinating paradox that seems to consistently happen throughout all the seasons. That being said she can still be as dense and as dimwitted as her husband at times and this is best shown in the many different situations in which Mrs. Turner has been in life-threatening situations, yet never realized that she was in any form of danger. But this all laid out perhaps this character selection that might be able to reveal more secrets about Mrs. Turner.
  3. Principal Waxelplax: Principal Geraldine Waxelplax is the principal of Timmy Turner’s elementary school and is in keeping with the theme of most adults in the show being rather dimwitted and dense to the things going on around them. That said principal Waxelplax is a great deal more competent and aware than most other adults in the show. However, principal Waxelplax is not without her own faults as she is slightly overweight, This is due in part to her love of baked goods, and is shown to be rather goofy and crazy throughout the entire series and has often been on the receiving end of several series of unfortunate events. That said out of most other adults throughout the entire series principal Waxelplax is perhaps the most well balanced, well… If you don’t take her obsession with baked good’s into account. That said most of her history isn’t really well known, as most of her background is often told in flashbacks or time travel episodes throughout the entire series. So, it might be a little interesting to learn more about Dimmesdale’s eccentric elementary school principal, if only to discover more of her past.
