Richard decided to take a walk and get used to the grounds.

The grounds were surrounded by a large brick wall, with an iron gate. Xavier's family was quite rich, and they owned about one hundred square acres of land. There were trees, a small lake, basketball and tennis courts, football and soccer fields, and paths that seemed to go on for miles.

Oddly, there didn't seem to be many other students outside at the moment. It was cloudy, but it wasn't expected to rain, but as he wandered around it seemed like the few he did see were also new to the campus, based on the way they looked around and talked to each other.

He decided to "call" Rikki via their link. It turned out that the same thing was true inside as well, with the older students seemingly sticking to their upstairs rooms or being off campus. They both ultimately agreed that, while it was odd, it was best to just go with it.

Richard walked for a few hours, then went back to his dorm room and took a shower, before heading toward orientation.
