Chapter 9 by Cantalope Cantalope

What does she do?

Explain

A few last **** thoughts flashed through Danielle's mind: pass it off as a swimsuit, tell her to close her eyes, run, anything! But in the end she knew she had to come clean, at least to Julie, "Alright Julie, look." She took a deep breath, trying to think of the best way to explain this to her daughter. "You can't go out tonight because-"

"You can't do this! I-" And she was off again, trying to explain why this needed to go her way. Danielle silenced her by stepping out from around the banister, "-and I... I... Mom?"

"Julie, I need you right now. Ok? I'm not out to get you, I'm not trying to ruin your fun, I am genuinely in a crisis right now and I need your help." Julie blinked owlishly for a moment, the rebel attitude completely forgotten as she took in her mothers near-nakedness and 'enhanced endowments'. They both turned at the sound of a car pulling into the driveway; Rob was home.

Danielle took advantage of the calm before the storm to lay out the situation as quickly and clearly as she could, "I'll explain everything later, for now all I can tell you is that I can't get these off and that it's important your father doesn't see them. Ok?" After a long moment Julie nodded dumbly and Danielle dashed upstairs to throw some clothes on. She felt guilty for putting this on her daughter, for a moment she wondered if she should have let her go out and be innocent of this mess. She quickly banished the thought, a child should never have to suffer because of their mothers mistakes.

Julie sat quietly on the couch, her outward calm belying the storm of thoughts and emotions within. What was she doing? What was she wearing? Some kind of corset? Is she going to surprise dad? Ew. Why did she need it to be secret? Is she having an affair? It took her a moment to realize her father was trying to speak to her, "-ulie? You alright?" Shaking herself, she gave him a **** smile, "Yeah dad, fine. Just a... long day." He looked at her curiously for a moment but didn't press. Grabbing a banana from the fruit bowl, he settled down into the chair across from her, "So, excited to see your brother? Been almost two months." She nodded, trying to keep up appearances as she continued to process what her mother had told her.

What was she doing?

What's next?
