Examine the device further

The audit team left. Lingered in the room, I search the device for any labels, tradenames or any other information. I was wondering if the device had any further mind altering functions. However, the inspection was interrupted when the HR manager walked in.

“Hi, have the audit team finished?”

“Yep, Dom, they have just walked out. Were you the next one in?”

“No”, Dominic assurred, “I just have a number of interviews to do myself. There is a posting for junior secretary, and I have to view five applicants. They are already here outside waiting. So if you mind I’d like the room for myself.”

These job postings are usually filled in by young females. The HR manager will spend the rest of the day with these ladies. The lucky bastard, I always envied that job. Today I’ll have my own way. I'll have the rest of the day off, teasing these gals. Job interviews were always a lucky guess, actually. Could not go wrong, could I?

Turning to Dom, I operated the device and instructed him, “You just had the idea of trusting the interviews to me. You were coming in to give me the notes, and tell your secretary about it.”

The second flash puts Dominic back into his senses.

Dom briefs in, “ I was thinking of relying on you to make the interviews, for the junior secretary assistant posting. Is it ok with you? Here are the interview questions, fill them in.”

Dominic hands the notes and leaves immediately, without giving me time to articulate an answer.

Content with myself, I sit down and wait.

The phone rings.

Dom’s secretary is on the line. A hint of dubiousness in her voice.
“Shall I send the first one?”

“Yep let her in.”

The interviews are a drab, and so are the applicants. These girls have nothing better in life than to find a steady job. Nothing of interest has come out. The fourth girl leaves, and I wait for the last one to enter. No one. has she forgotten to turn up?

I call the secretary to inquire, but it seems that the girl has not turned up.
