Episode 1: A New Day

"You have chosen to enter the first episode of the first season. Enjoy your stay." The voice finally said. You felt another tremble and fell back into unconsciousness.

A few minutes past and you slowly opened your eyes, the room around you was spinning and you almost felt a sharp pain on the back of your head. You suddenly heard Doug's voice, "Hey guys, John is awake! Thank god!" He exclaimed while he and Carly ran to your side,

"Hell, are you alright?" Carly asked with some concern while helping you sit up,

"Yeah...god my head, what happened?" You groaned back,

"Don't remember huh?" Carly asked with a raised brow,

"That's common with head trauma, hope you don't have a concussion, that could really complicate things. Especially since emergency services are down, not to mention-" Doug began to ramble on,

"Okay Doug, thanks for that." Carly cut him off, giving a small glare,

"Right...sorry," Doug said lowering his head,

"So what did happen?" You asked looking between the two of them,

"We let those people in," Carly said motioning to Lee, Clem and Kenny's family, "Larry thought the boy was bitten, things got a little out of hand and a fight almost broke out."

"You tried to get between Kenny and Larry but got shoved out of the way, smacked your head right on a shelf," Doug added on, "Luckily everyone got under control of themselves after that, so things are...okay I guess."

"If you can say that, Larry had something like a heart attack. Now we need to get his pills from the pharmacy and get out of downtown before those ghouls outside get in here and eat us all." Carly added on while standing up and helping you to your feet, "Glenn went out for gas and Lee, there is trying to get the pharmacy open."

"If you want to help with that, I'm sure Lilly or Lee could talk to you about something," Doug said with a little shrug before turning around and heading back towards the front door to keep watch. You watched the two of them went back to doing what they were originally, you slowly looked around the store and let out a little sigh, you were absolutely in Lee's family drugstore. You knew where this was going to head and hoped that you could help out and keep everyone safe.
