Four days later Sam was sitting across from Victoria at an ice cream parlor. The two were laughing and smiling.

“No, I’m serious, I’m WAY stronger now.” Sam insisted.

“You can’t get that good that fast.” Victoria laughed. “It’ll go down just like last time.”

“Smells like a bet to me. Power gems on the line?” Sam said, trying his best to purposely seem overconfident.

Victoria paused. “Hm...all right. You’re on, Winters. And when I win this time, it’ll make your last ordeal look like a cakewalk.”

Sam grinned. “Oh, I’ve got a few plans like that for you myself.”
