Epilogue

Years later, you think back to that first week and smile. You think about all the things you've accomplished together and how much you mean to each other.

The past few years haven't been perfect, but any difficulties have brought you closer together. It makes you happy to think that, no matter what happens in the future, you'll be with her.

You love her and she loves you, it's a simple as that. Sure, how you met and how fast and hard you fell in love never really made much sense, narratively, but sometimes that's life.

"John," Sunny says, walking up to where you're sitting in contemplation, "Honey, you promised you'd paint the nursery today."

"I know. I'm working on it," you say, chuckling, "I'll get it done today, I promise."

She smiles at you, as beautiful as she was the day you met her. "Okay, honey. I love you."

"I love you too."

She leans down to kiss your neck, and you close your eyes, savouring the moment, as you've savoured every other moment with her.
