Epilogue - Happy mundane reality

You spend the rest of your holiday as frugally as you knew you were going to have to, but you had it generally planned out and budgeted. Finally flying back and starting your first real job. The money is alright for an entry graduate position and the perks are good. You have fun with some friends and make new ones. Your life swiftly returning to the normality of twenty-something.

You think about telling your friends about the incident but decide against it. You try to push it out of your mind but are occasionally reminded by media stories on the porn industry and how close you got to falling in to that trap. A couple of years on you see an article that some friend has posted up about how much the top adult actresses get paid and the numbers are staggering, but you also remind yourself that for the few at the top there are many who don't earn these sums of money.

However your eye is drawn to one of the faces on the screen. A tanned, blonde girl. You can't be sure that it's her and you type her name into the search engine and try to find more. Debut year two years ago. Inter-racial scenes. Lots of films for a set of sites with special 'impregnation' themes. You can't be 100% sure that 'Amber Grey' is the same disheveled just-fucked blonde you saw in the hotel, but you're 99% sure. And she has made more money in the last two years than you could hope to make before you're 40!

You know you can't compare the situation, and your life is happy enough with girls nights out and tinder dates. And your career is due to last after your looks have started to fade. But you can't help but think how close you got to your life potentially being very different.
