Epilogue: A monster.

You did what you did, and you don’t care. Is there any way to convince you otherwise? You could have moved on with your life (or at least tried to) but you decided a different path. Your egotistical, sadistic desire was so strong that it eventually undermined your ability to cause more damage — you’re going to jail, and you won’t get out for a long time. Maybe you can be rehabilitated. Probably not. The damage is done. It’s hard to inject a new set of morals into a grown adult. Not impossible, but hard.
