Entering Fiction (Abstraction)

The world has plenty of abstractions, like glitches in a game. Things that slightly alter reality. Most of these are found by accident and a few involve TV.

At midnight, if your TV is on, you'll see a number at the bottom of the screen for a second. If you manage to take a photo and type the number into your remote, the TV will start to ripple for a few seconds. Afterwards, you can crawl inside it and end up teleported inside what you were watching.

If you were watching Pirates of the Carribean, you'd end up inside that world. If you were playing Pokemon, you'd end up inside the pokemon world. Everything feels and looks real. You've basically bent sent to alternate world where whatever you were watching on TV was real.

The remote come with you, even if you accidentally left it behind before crawling into your TV. To leave, you just have to press the off button on the remote while its midnight on any night.

There's no time dilation and anything that happens to your body in the alternate world, carries over to your original world when you leave. So if you get pregnant or get a tattoo, you'd still be pregnant or have a tattoo when you leave back to your original world. Though you can't bring other things with you. No being pokeballs or anything similar like that.
