Emma winds up pregnant

The last thing you had expected was to have Emma call you up out of the blue a few weeks later and drop a bomb on you that had honestly never crossed either of your minds the night you hooked up with her.

"John...please don't hate me...but...I'm pregnant...and it's yours..." she tells you on the phone that day, her tone giving away how fearful she was that you would react badly towards her.

"Emma baby...don't be upset..." you tell her, sensing her apprehension, "this is a shock to both of us, believe me, since it never came up that night. But that doesn't mean I'm not just as responsible for it as you are."

"Can I see you again sometime soon? This is going to be quite a row for me and I don't want to face it alone," she tells you, her mind starting to race a hundred miles an hour with all the thoughts of how her life was soon to change.

"Come on over if you're in town Emma," you tell her, eager to see her again so that you can celebrate this unexpected good news with her.

"I'm actually back in London at the moment, but I will be back in the States on the first thing smoking," she tells you as you agree to pick her up at the airport to pick up where things left off, counting your lucky stars that of all the guys in the world, you were the one that knocked her up.
