Chapter 3
by AaronWebster
Do the girls go?
Emma has other ideas.
"Well there's a few things right here that I wouldn't mind getting my mouth round," said Emma. The guys were immediately interested.
Robyn winced. It might have been the cheesiest line, it might have been Emma's 'me me me' attitude, but most likely it was because she sensed her breakfast disappearing into the mist.
"Emma," she hissed, "over here. Conference."
Emma shrugged and smiled meekly at the guys, as if to say 'I'm in trouble again', as she went over to where her friend was waiting.
"Emma," Robyn growled in a harsh whisper, when the two were together. "What do you think you're playing at? I have been up since the crack of dawn and I - Am - Hungry!"
"Rob," Emma whispered patiently, "I too have been up since the crack of dawn. I have been buffeted by countless waves, I am wet and horny, and I have a very different hunger to yours. Do you know when I last had a fuck?"
"Yesterday afternoon. Those two guys we met at the diner."
"And after that we went and had a meal. Now its my turn again.
"So," said Robyn, too weak to argue even with Emma's pitiful grasp of logic, "you're saying we stop a while, have a fuck and then we go and have breakie. Yeah?"
"They may even buy it for us," said Emma, magnanimous in victory. "Least they could do really."
Robin sighed and followed her friend back to the bemused surfers.
"So..." said Matt sidling up to Robyn, "been out this morning already then?"
Robyn rolled her eyes. She had heard some pretty weak conversation starters since this summer began, but that one outranked them all. Clearly Matt had realised there were two girls and four guys and come to stake his claim on the plainer one, because four into two didn't go... Except that in Robyn & Emma's experience it very often did! Robyn stifled a laugh.
"What?" asked Matt, not sure if the joke was on him.
"Nothing," Robyn smirked. "Yeah, we've been out for a couple of hours."
"Great," said Matt, pleased that the conversation had at last begun.
Silence.
Robyn surreptitiously glanced over Matt's shoulder. Emma was laughing and flirting with Steve & Jeff. Aaron stood stoically to one side, enigmatic behind his shades. Was he checking out Emma or her? Or was he just bored with the whole situation. Knowing her luck he was probably checking out Matt's arse.
Emma was in full flirt mode now, recounting her surfing exploits, using Steve and Jeff as visual aids and using every opportunity to touch them or hold onto them. Meanwhile Matt was beginning to get a slightly sick look as if he had just backed the wrong horse.
Snap out of it, Robin chided herself. Breakfast isn't going to happen, so you might as well make the best of a bad situation. But which situation?
Settle for Matt, or make a play for Aaron?
