Ellie tries to assert dominance

Eleanor looked at her cousins as they sat down on the couch, completely ignoring her presence as they changed the channel. Eleanor wrinkled her nose as Agnes and Angela began watching some dumb show she couldn’t be bothered with. “You two better remember who’s in charge,” Eleanor said. “You can stay in the guest room, but my room is off limits. Bedtime will be at 8 PM. I’ll bathe you before that.”

Agnes and Angela both scoffed. “You think you’re so tough,” Agnes sneered. “You really think you can tell us what to do.”

“News flash, Ellie. You don’t control us,” Angela chimed in. “Not anymore.”

Eleanor glared. “You’ll do as I say or else.”

“What? What will you do?” Agnes asked. “Tell our parents we did something naughty? Please. You have no power over us.”

“I’m older than you!” Eleanor said sternly. “Agnes, you better do as I tell you to or I’ll get Mr Paddle out. Same with you, Angela.”

The twins glared at Eleanor. Then a smile formed on Agnes’s face. “I’d love to see you try.”

Agnes stood to her feet, getting in front of Eleanor’s face. Eleanor cowered as she took a step back, unsure of her cousin’s strength.
