No longer was this man given funds for his research by any universities or government programs after he’d become obsessed with a ‘fishwoman’ he claimed was hiding inside of lake Wannaseesomedick.

Eliot’s trips to that lagoon had become constant, and after enough time swimming and lugging around hefty scientific equipment, the doctor had cultivated a body that many men would kill for. But being lean or muscular meant absolutely nothing for one’s scientific credibility, and his looks almost made other scientists take him even less seriously.
