Chapter 34
by GivenUpOnTrying
What's the plan for the next day?
Electric Boogaloo
The Saturday afternoon passed pretty quickly, after Trish left and the rest of us woke up Elise had to make a swift exit, owing to her parents' requirement that she join them for dinner. This sadly leaves me unsatisfied emotionally and physically. Especially physically. The thought occurred to me to try out my vibrator, seeing as I'd had it for a while now and it was still in its packaging... But I just kinda want Elise to use it on me... I may be a bit obsessed with that girl.
Instead, Rouge and I decide to hang out in the kitchen and see if we can convince Mum to order Chinese when we return. It gives us more of a chance to catch up. Turns out Trish and Rouge had ended up at the Free Ride last night, and fled when they saw us so we didn't suspect they were a... Couple? Item? I dunno, so we didn't know they were fucking.
"You should have stuck around, you'd have loved the band, we got to hang out with them after, they're pretty cool." I respond, taking a sip of water, I've been so thirsty today, **** is a cruel mistress.
Rouge smirks at this idea. "If you and Elise liked them they probably weren't that good." She jokes. Hey, I have taste... I went to a festival once... I was 5 and it was a fireworks festival, but I maintain it counts. "Would have saved me the escape though, nearly knocked someone out on the way, Trish had to apologise for me."
"Well, that's two reasons to take you there next weekend, to check out the music, and to apologise." I chuckle. "Unless you're worried someone will sweep Trish off her feet and you'll be left without your sex buddy." I add with a sarcastic tone.
Rouge sighs and takes a second to think. "Nah, she's welcome to it. I'm more worried there's no one there to sweep me." She admits absent-mindedly. "Since I found out about Gabe I've felt a lot less heartbreak, which is good since it means I can move on. But also a lot more embarrassment, do you think I should text him?"
Holy shit. My sister's asking if she should text her ex. I'm in an actual situation rom-coms have prepared me for. "No. You're a strong woman, and you don't need a man to make you happy, you've gotta learn to love yourself!" I monologue to my increasingly bemused sister.
"Yeah, not to undermine whatever D-list movie you stole that from, but I meant to apologise for the whole acting like a bitch thing?" She clarifies. I know that's what she meant, but I've never gotten to use that line. Normal dramatic situations don't really happen to me, no runs to the airport, I had to run to a bus stop. No long-lost siblings, mine can't seem to be in my life enough. No sassy BFFs, mine's fucking my sister.
"I don't think outright texting him is the best tact, maybe just talk to him at school?" I offer.
Again, Rouge takes a second to think about this. "Yeah, you're probably right, guess that'll have to wait until Tuesday, not that I'm complaining about a bank holiday." She ponders. At that moment I hear the door open and close, before Mum enters the kitchen, looking particularly exasperated.
"Evening girls." She sighs, putting her bag on the counter. "Lucky you're both here, I need a word." She begins.
"If you ask me if I'm using protection I'll disown you." Rouge cuts her off, forcing me to laugh in response.
Mum's face is less impressed, but I can see she's holding back a smile as well. "Funny you should say that. It's about Sapphire's puppies." She replies. Sapphire's one of the dogs at Mum's shelter, they found her a while back, turned out someone had abandoned her because she was pregnant. Sick son of a bitch. No pun intended. "The problem is, one of them's not doing well, I need to drive her up to the surgery and stay until we can bring them all back, means I'll be out of town for a couple of days... So I need to trust you with the house." She concludes.
Hmm. Free house, huh? For a bank holiday? So no school? I couldn't think what this equals.
"Can I have friends over?" Rouge asks outright. Subtle, there's no way she'll figure out what that means.
"One friend. One Elise. That's all." Mum states clearly. Yeah, I can see us sticking to that rule, our last party was four people anyway. Are we losers? "I'll leave money for food, and Jasper's only a call away, okay?" Her eyes dart between us, as we both put on our sweetest, most innocent, butter-wouldn't-melt faces,
"We're eighteen, not eight. You can trust us." I state confidently.
My confidence seems ineffective, based on the suspicion on Mum's face. "Of course. I'm going to go and change, then I've got to go. Don't let me down." She requests.
I mean, honestly, if we didn't have a party, wouldn't that be the real disappointment?
Mum exits the room and heads up the stairs to pack, my eyes immediately meet Rouge's. "We're having a party, right?" I ask her.
"Obviously." Rouge concurs. "The real question is, how little food can we survive on if we spend grocery money on ****?" She considers. Glad to hear we have matching priorities. "So, Trish and Elise are obvious. Who else do we know?"
Maybe it's the twin sense finally kicking in but I know what she's thinking. "You want to invite Gabriel, don't you?" I intuit. Rouge shrugs to confirm my suspicion. "You know if we invite him we've got to invite Henry." I point out. Henry's not a bad guy really, dim, bad taste is girls, but apparently that's not an issue at the minute. I don't really harbour a grudge against him like I do Amanda and Jenny, but I don't know if Rouge is really okay with-
"Oh, that'd be ideal, that way I can clear the air with both of them at once, plus, who doesn't like watching guys make out?" My sister breathes a sigh of relief. I mean, I don't like watching guys make out, but maybe I'm biased, I don't like watching guys and girls make out. Honestly, I tend not to like watching girls make out unless it's with me, but I think that's just the fact I haven't come in like 72 hours. I swear my libido never used to be this bad. I'm getting distracted.
"Well, that's two, could invite Rob and Skye, and Anya and Jessie." I offer. Is it weird partying with my brother's ex? Maybe, but we're inviting Rouge's ex too so it seems fair. I guess I win since I don't have an ex. Unless we invite the showerhead.
Rouge nods. "Sure, so that's... Ten? Between both of us we only have ten people to invite?" She asks desperately.
"Aren't you, like, a superheroine around school or something? You don't have any other friends?" I ask the obvious question.
"None I actually enjoy hanging out with. I mean, I could invite all the guys that want to fuck me, but it's hard to fit the entire straight population of the world in one room." Rouge brags. Yeah, yeah, I get it. "Fuck, am I gonna end up being the only straight person again?" She considers.
"Rob's straight, so, one of two, maybe?" I point out. Oh. I should not have mentioned that.
"Way to bury the lede, Scar, he hot?" Rouge's face twists to intrigue.
"Well, bald, bearded, has a penis, not really my type." I remind her. Well, the first two I could get past, the third's kind of a deal-breaker.
The intrigue on my sister's face has been replaced with concern. "Last night... Was he wearing a leather jacket?" She asks. I nod in response, how would she know that? Rouge's face cringes as she rests her forehead on her hand. "That's the guy I ran into last night... And yelled at..." She admits.
No way. There's no way this town is that small. Who am I kidding?
"Maybe... He won't remember?" I suggest meekly. Her face tells me it's unlikely.

Unsurprisingly, Elise and Trish were on board immediately. Rouge sent the invite to Gabriel and Henry, and eventually got an excited RSVP. Sadly, Jessie would be working, but Anya agreed to come and bring a friend. Rob agreed and requested he could bring his guitar. Skye accepted the invitation on the caveat that Rob's guitar was banned.
The morning feels fresh. I'm throwing a party, like an actual party, a thing people do. And actual humans are coming. Okay, not a lot, but I like almost all of them.
I'm so excited after showering and laying out the room that Rouge has to forcefully sit me down and **** me to eat leftover's from last night's Chinese. Judge me another time, this stuff tastes even better reheated. Now fed, I start looking at clothes for tonight, which is when Elise arrives. We'd agreed for her to come over early, that way I have her to calm my nerves, and help me figure out what to wear... I'm sure I functioned before I met her, I just can't remember how.
"Nope." Rouge decides, as I toss another dress on the bed.
"Hey, I liked that one." Elise protests. She's already packed her clothes, and managed to snag a few of bottles of wine, she's still scared of the cellar, but she picked some out of a recent delivery for a special occasion.
"Have her wear it in bed then, with any luck you'll rip it and I won't have to see it again." My sister jokes.
Elise appears to be genuinely considering that. It's been about 86 hours now, this is by far the longest I've gone without sex since losing my virginity. If I thought I had time I'd boot Rouge out and have Elise right now... But I don't, so I can't.
"So, did Lapin tell you about our little bet?" Elise asks Rouge with a grin. What's she planning?
"Aww, have you got a little nickname?" Rouge coos at me sarcastically. "Nah, what's the bet?"
"We bet to see who Trish would be more likely to go for, Rob or Skye, I think it's Rob, Elise thinks it's Skye, so whoever's pick she sleeps with first wins." I explain. Wait a minute, is she thinking what I think she's thinking?
"Uh huh? What's the stakes?" Rouge inquires. Well, I did say I'd be honest about everything.
"The winner gets their fantasy." Elise explains for me. "If she wins, I dress up as a schoolgirl, if I win, I get to use a strap."
"Well, that settles it, I'm helping you." Rouge confirms to my girlfriend. The betrayal is real. "Trust me Scar, your idea's vanilla, hers you'll actually have fun. Plus if Trish sleeps with Rob then I've got no one to bang tonight. Really, it's a win-win."
Yeah, something tells me Elise knew that would be her answer. This bet's as good as lost, Rouge managed to get us together, and we were introverted closet cases, two sexually interested openly queer women? I stand no chance.
Eventually we find the perfect dress, and Rouge returns to her own room to get ready. The dress isn't anything flashy, just a strappy black number that goes down to my knees. It shows off more cleavage than I'm used to, but hey, it's a party, and I've gotta keep Elise's eyes on me somehow. Speaking of, as ever, her outfit is far less low-key. The creamy white backless dress flows all the way to her ankles, but the split on one side shows off her gorgeous leg, with the neckline hitting the perfect point to suggest cleavage without showing it.
"That... That's not fair, you can't look like that after three and a half days of no sex, it's not reasonable." I tell her, drawing a blush from her cheeks. Even now, I get a kick out of telling her how stunning she is. Did I get shot with a lucky arrow or something?
Elise makes her way closer to me. "Well, this is my favourite dress, but I'm looking forward to you taking it off." She tells me, placing her hand on my cheek. Every fibre of my being wants to kiss this indescribable picture of a woman... But a knock at the door draws our attention.
Who's at the door?
