Tom was all for some sea and sun, but if they were to get their ass on a plane, he wanted to see something interesting. He insisted they go to Egypt, cradle of Civilisation. Leticia hated it, but she relented when he threatened to go alone and book her a trip to Brighton with an included membership at the UV parlour, for "sea and tan".

He didn't win all his battles though, and she demanded to have her way with the destination selection within the country. He could select at most four days of "cultural boredom" before they were to "really enjoy their holiday".
