Edelgard has a headache

Edelgard was sitting in class, listening to Byleth teach the curriculum. Today’s class was about how to effectively lure in the enemy to an ambush. The only problem was that Edelgard could not seem to concentrate. For the last few days, Edelgard felt off. She hadn’t been sleeping well, and no matter what she did, she just couldn’t get rid her headache.

Edelgard didn’t know what was up with her, but she would just tough it out. Of course, Edelgard wouldn’t dare tell Hubert about this. She trusted him with her life, but he could be a tad overprotective and she really didn’t want to add to her headache. Despite that, she could tell Hubert knew something was off.

She was doing her best to listen to Byleth’s lesson, but it was so hard; her mind couldn’t focus. God I’m so stressed. I need…..cock. Edelgard startled herself, not knowing where that came from. The thought went away as quickly as it had appeared. I’m not thinking straight. I must be more tired than I thought.

Aside from the headaches, Edelgard sometimes thought she heard a voice in her mind.

Usually, she could only hear faint whisperings, but every so often, words or phrases would appear for a second and then disappear. It felt like something was wrapping around her brain and poking around. She figured it was just a symptom of not getting any sleep. It’s nothing…right? Edelgard was brought back to reality, as she heard Byleth’s words.

“And that’s it for today class! Make sure to review the material and I’ll see you all tomorrow,” Byleth closed her book and the room started to clear out. Edelgard gathered her things, eager to talk to the professor. Byleth began to leave the room as well before Edelgard stopped her.

“Excellent lesson, Professor,” Edelgard said.

“Thank you, Edelgard,” Byleth replied, “How are you? I noticed you seemed a little…distracted.”

Edelgard sighed, “Yes, sorry about that Professor. I’ve just been a little out of it lately. It was difficult for me to focus on the lesson actually. Do you think you could help catch me up on the lesson one-on-one?” Edelgard deeply admired the Professor and hoped to grow closer to her, even if it was just going over the lesson plan.

“Ah, I’m sorry,” Byleth answered, “I’ve got some…things that I have to do.” Edelgard noticed Byleth’s slight hesitation. “Unfortunately, I’ll be busy for the rest of the day, but maybe another time!” Byleth walked past Edelgard and left the room, leaving Edelgard alone.

She looked like she was in a hurry. I wonder why? At that moment, Dorothea walked up to Edelgard.

“Hey Edie! How’s it going?” Dorothea asked in her usual peppy mood, “What did you talk to the professor about? You doing okay?”

“Oh, hello Dorothea! Sorry, you startled me. I didn’t see you there. Yes, I’m all right,” Edelgard answered, “I was just asking the professor for help reviewing the material. I’ve been having a bit of a headache so I wasn’t able to concentrate in class today. She said she’s busy though so I might just have to ask Hu-”

“I can help you! I took a lot of good notes today. I’ll get you caught up in no time!” Dorothea exclaimed.

“Oh no, I couldn’t impose! I’m sure you have a lot going on right now, especially with your singing.”

“Don’t be silly! I would be glad to help! I figure we can finally have some girl time, just the two of us. It’ll be fun!”

Edelgard was still hesitant, not sure if she could handle the eccentric girl at the moment.

Dorothea clapped her hands together and bowed her head, “Please please please! I PROMISE I’ll be a good tutor!”

Edelgard sighed, knowing she wouldn’t be able to get out of this one, “Oh all right. You can tutor me. Honestly, I could use the help.”

Dorothea quickly perked up and gave Edelgard a wink, “Awesome! You won’t regret this! You’re going to love his cock!”

Edelgard was caught off guard, “Wait, what did you just say?!”

“I said we’ll meet here at ten o’ clock! That way we can study without interruptions! Hope that isn’t too late.”

“Sorry, I thought you sa- oh, never mind. Ten is fine.”

“All right, I’ll see you later!” Dorothea said, as they entered the hallway. Dorothea started to walk down the other end of the hallway as she said, “Here, ten o’ clock! Don’t be late!”

Edelgard’s mind was still focusing on what she thought she just heard. I really need to get some sleep.

A few hours had passed and Edelgard was heading towards the classroom. She was able to finish all her other work and battle practice, which left the girl even more tired than before. This headache just won’t go away.

Hubert had confronted Edelgard some time after class about what was going on. Edelgard told him it was nothing to worry about and that she just needed more sleep. Hubert was obviously concerned, but he knew when to back off so that he didn’t irritate the princess. Edelgard told Hubert that he could retire to bed early, telling him about her plans with Dorothea.

Hubert was not happy about her royal highness spending time with a mere commoner, especially one he considered to be a very bad influence. Dorothea and Hubert were like oil and water in terms of how much they got along; she always knew how to push his buttons. Edelgard invited Hubert to the tutoring session if he had such a problem with it. In response, Hubert relented, stating that he wouldn’t spend any more time with that singer than he had to.

Edelgard smiled at that last thought. I told him not to worry. Dorothea can be a handful sometimes, but she always means well.

Edelgard reached the classroom door and looked around. It’s ten, but no Dorothea. I guess she must be inside. Edelgard grabbed the door handle and slowly opened the door. It was very dark with a few lit candles placed throughout the room. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her, looking around for Dorothea. She noticed a figure sitting at the professor’s desk.

“Dorothea?” Edelgard asked. She walked forward, trying to distinguish who it was. The figure stood up and said in a deep voice, “Sorry, Dorothea won’t be joining us.”
