Eddie the Worrier

The three of you head over to a table as Eddie orders drinks. As you sit down, you say "So Mike, you still looking for a band?"

"Yeah." Mike shrugs. "Something should come up."

"Hopefully. What about you Burny? How's the electrician life going?"

Burny gives you a similar shrug. "Can't complain. Everyone wants the lights to stay on."

"And what about Daddy's golden child?" Mike asks.

After a roll of the eyes, you say "Good enough I guess."

That's when Eddie comes back with the drinks. Despite his best attempt, he spills some beer as he places the drinks down. "Oh shit..."

"It's cool man." Burny says. "Our fault for not helping you."

"I guess."

Mike then grabs a beer and raises it. "To Oscar, and his new love... uhhh..."

"Adela." You state.

"Cheers." The four of you toast before taking generous sips from your glasses. You then glance at Eddie, who looks nervous. Whilst this wasn't unusual for your favorite introvert, you fear he might be nervous about Adela's 'secret'. You, however, couldn't care less. You know all three of them would jump at the chance to date a pornstar.

"So what else you been up to Eddie?" Burny asks.

"Not much you know? Same old same old."

His voice trembled with anxiety, but Burny blows it off for him being nervous about spilling the drinks. The four of you proceed to finish your beers, to which Mike says "Who feels like a game of pool?"

"I'll go for a game, but then I gotta call it a night." You say, hoping not to overspend even more. "Got work tomorrow."

"Lightweight." Mike sneers.

"Yeah, you didn't even buy us a round Oscar." Burny says.

With a shrug, you say "Next time I guess."

The game of pool goes rather quick, with Mike running circles around you. You say your goodbyes before heading off back home and retiring to bed.
