Dr. Questor

Antonia Questor was in the lab that encompassed nearly 60% of her home. The building she owned, known to many simply as Questor Industries (though it wasn't a business per se, rather, a one-person operation), was known as being a bit of a magnet for unusual phenomena. Alien invasions, time portals, all sorts of things were known to happen within a few blocks of her building.

Currently, the doctor was working on a device for another scientifically-minded hero known as Hotwire. Unlike other scientists, Hotwire was one of those rare individuals who understood both mystical and scientific principles. Hotwire wasn't really a science whiz; rather, he simply had an intuitive grasp of how machines were put together, like that Cheyenne fellow Antonia had met in Dallas at a science convention years ago.

"There you go, Ricky, looks like the neuromantium wires came loose. Who've you been playing with?" Dr. Questor finished connecting two of the cables in Hotwire's cybernetic leg. "Try it now."

Hotwire closed his eyes. Briefly concentrating, a segment of metal in the leg slid aside, revealing a retractable holster holding a homemade blaster.

"Groovy, Doc. And to answer ya, I was helping to shut down the Dopple Gang. The Freedom Guard requested my technical services."

"Well, tell the rest of the team I wish 'em the best of luck. Anyway, that should deal with the worst of the damage."

After Hotwire took off on his motorcycle, Dr. Questor considered what she had open for the rest of the day. She could check up with other heroes to compare notes on current incidents. Down in the lab, she'd been studying another dimension, but it'd still be there for a while, so there was no rush for that. On the other hand, she hadn't gotten together with her current boyfriend, a DA named Patrick Tritander, in the last couple of weeks.
