Notes
The Ballroom dance area is circular, the excess space being used for cloakrooms, or for anyone collapsed from illness or exhaustion. It has stairs going up on both sides to a gallery. There is no giant chandelier in the centre as the piping from the sunken bath above gets in the way.
Clockwise from the top left, the small yellow rooms outside the ballroom are "Maids' Station", "Housekeeper's Cupboard", "Footmen's Station"and "Butler's Pantry." These rooms are for when there occupants are on call. They all actually have an upstairs reached by a ladder which contains equipment pertaining to their jobs. All 4 rooms have a kettle. The Housekeeper and the Butler both have desks, whereas the Stations have toilets instead, which are available for any servants caught short.
As well as for squash, the changing room is available for anyone engaged in outdoor sports. Sadly there is only one, so if it is already occupied by a member or members of the opposite sex, the potential user has a choice to make.
The 4 rooms in the studio area are behind a door to prevent disturbance.
The Music Room is available for practice. Uniquely it can be used by the servants if no short term guests are staying.
The Great Hall is only used on special occassions like balls, parties and birthdays otherwise it remains locked.
