Down and Dirty on the Bayou

"Oh sleeeepy heeead, waaaake uuup~" Jill called to Sarah who's eyes fluttered open. "Ish time to go alrey?" Sarah asked sleepily, still tired and a little sore from last night.

"Yep, we've gotta get going soon, babe." Jill said, kissing her forehead and handing Sarah a cup of blended coffee which she quickly drank down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Louis Armstrong International Airport. Local time is 12:15 pm. Local temperature is 84 degrees." The pilot announced over the speakers. "Jill, wake up, we're here." Sarah said, shaking her wife awake. "Awesome." She said, still half asleep.

"Mmmh, I can't wait to have some alligator." Jill said as the girls checked into their motel room. "Wait, people eat alligators?" Sarah asked, confused. "Oh yeah, it's a Southern delicacy. My dad is from Louisiana, trust me. My family travled here almost every summer to see my grandparents." Jill told her.

As Jill listed off to Sarah all the admittedly pretty good sounding food that she'd need to try, Sarah was lost in thought about how happy Jill was and the state of bliss she herself was still in.

"How many girls have you known before me. As in the biblical sense." Sarah asked, throwing Jill off her listing. She wouldn't be mad or jealous, she told herself, she just wanted to know.

Jill had read enough of the Bible to know exactly what Sarah meant by "know". "Only....five girls, I promise. And you're the last, I know it." Jill said, holding Sarah's hands. Sarah smiled. "I know." She told her and they kissed.

But what Jill didn't know was the fact that thought ran tracks around Sarah's mind all afternoon. Jill had been with, admittedly in the past, but five girls before her. And she didn't even ask about how many boys. Sarah tried to shake these silly, petty thoughts, but try as she might she couldn't.

It was when the girls got lunch at a buffet that Jill noticed something was wrong. "Is something up? Do you not like your gator?" Jill asked. "No, it's not that. It's.... I know it sounds stupid, but I've been thinking about what you said this morning. I knew I wasn't your first, but I didn't realize you'd been with so many others." Sarah said, tears beginning to form.
