Don't ask for the card (costs 40 self-restraint)

You answer, knowing where she's going with this: it means you shouldn't fraternize with the clowns, if you want to keep your job. Rather, it would be unwise to be found doing it. Even something as simple as taking a card, here in public, would be dangerous. You understand now that if the manager has eyes somewhere-- or a camera watching-- you could be in serious trouble.

"That's exactly right. You shouldn't..." she responds with a wink, now placing both hands into the cloth and wiping the counter harder. "My, my. Our antics earlier got the counter a bit messy. That's my saliva, isn't it? How embarrassing!" she coos. "Would you mind reaching under the counter there and fetching me a fresh rag?"

You squat down to do just that, disappearing from view behind the counter, when you notice something that starts your heart thudding once again. The clown girl has lifted her poofy pink skirt up away from her knees, all the way up to her hip, revealing the side of frilly pink panties and the whole of her shapely, pale legs. Near the thigh is a garter belt... and inside of that garter belt... is a card! Score! As discretely as you can manage given your excitement, you pinch the card and pull it out, then hold it in both shivering hands. It's like the golden ticket from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

"The rag, sweetie?"

You gulp, then grab the rag you initially went down to look for, fumbling over your own hands as you start wiping up the counter instead of handing it to her. A big grin comes onto her face. "Oh, I can tell you're going to be a fun one to have around!" she applauds you once again, accepting your help in cleaning up. You catch her looking slyly in your direction with some new emotion in her smile... it's a broader smile than she's ever shown you before.

It's going to be hard to focus on your work for the rest of the day!
