Suddenly there was a loud noise from their right. It sounded like a cough. "ON SECOND THOUGHT- DO YOU HAVE USE OF THIS MYSTICAL VOICE AMPLIFYING DEVICE? OOOOOOH-" The guard turned and saw Moori's caravan stopped some ways down the hill, and he was holding a large horn-like object in front of his face. Then he pulled out a long device with a lens. "OR PERHAPS A GLASS OF BETTER LOOKING? I PATENTED IT MYSELF!"

Moori toyed with the "glass-of-better-looking" a little and gasped. "*OOH! Oh...oh no. How indecent!" He put it down. "I'm sorry good sir, I might have to take this item off the table. It appears to be cursed. It's doing something wicked with the appearance of your female companion. I don't want to embarrass you ma'am, but it made you appear rather....unclad...!" The guard slammed his pike into the ground. "We don't want anything you're selling. I have business to attend to with my companion!"

She felt slight relief that he didn't seem to believe that she was truly nude, but despite his warning, she still felt veryyy embarrassed. Zelda felt especially thankful not to be recognized as the princess, and she pondered if maybe nobody besides those who know her the most closely would be likely to recognize her outside her royal garb.

The guard turned around and started to leave. "Just come with me. He can hardly see you." He moved away from Zelda, obviously frustrated. However, it left her entirely open, despite hundreds of feet away from Moori and his caravan. "Ah, yes. It must be a curse! I'm most assured that a dainty girl like you wouldn't be roaming the wild frontier in....in the nude. Anyhow, if that'll be all, I guess I must be on my way." The eccentric salesman started up his vehicle again, but he was conspicuously watching over his shoulder as he rolled over the hill.

"U-uh, half-decent, I think. I've always been more skilled at combat-oriented magic and miscellaneous simple spells than physical work, embarrassingly. O-oh, now that you mention this trip's length, I have to ask- what will we do if we need to rest? I fear someone could... um, take advantage of me if they came across me sleeping. I-I do not wish to be too pessimistic, of course, but it seems like a possibility!"

Zelda was quite red even mentioning the idea, so who knows how she'd react if the occurance ever came up.

Despite the Princess's cute and flushed demeanor, the guard became serious. "No. That will not be allowed to happen. I swore an oath, and that oath stands. You see, I have my priorities. Right now, you may be uncomfortable, but you are safe. We can deal with that." He put a hand on her bare shoulder, which she couldn't help but notice felt....strange. She didn't bare any skin very often.

While the feeling of his hand on her bare shoulder felt quite a bit more intimate than what she was accustomed to these days, she certainly appreciated the assurance. She had to admit, it sounded reasonable- as long as she was safe, it wasn't all that bad to be a bit embarrassed.

And then a little laughter, that seemed to echo even out in the open. "Oh. Yes, it's to be expected", said the guard.

"Be very still. Maybe he'll leave. Probably not." The guard reached behind him, but curiously did not draw his weapon. What could make him react this strangely? Suddenly there was the sense of motion in front of them, and a puff of leaves flew off of the ground. Then a figure stepped forward. Rather small and unassuming, dressed in ornate combinations of leaves, roots, other vegetation, and tattered cloth. It looked bony yet healthy and spritely all at once. "Hehe! Welcome! Are you lost here? I know the way, for a price of course!"

She cursed the fact that her money was still in her lost clothes, hoping maybe the guard would be able to assist. Although, she was wary of if this strange figure would even be able to give proper assistance without embarrassing her further.

The guard grit his teeth, choosing words carefully. "Don't worry, child of the woods. We are merely passing through. We have a destination in mind, and are friends of the forest." The strange figure cocked its head, then looked left and right. Then it suddenly ran behind the guard, and poked Zelda right on her bare ass! "This is unusual. But I like it! Have you decided to return to nature, fair maiden?! We have plenty of space for you to run, free as you are. Or maybe you prefer out in the open?"

The guard seemed to perk up at the mention of the word nude and then settled back into his serious posture. "Forest spirit, this is royalty you are speaking with. I know that the laws of humans do not hold much weight for your domain, but we would like a little hospitality." The creature ran again, too quick to catch, laughing. It was moving in circles around the two. "Not by choice, not by choice?! Oh, she is a special kind of nature-girl. We do enjoy the timid ones. Let's play some games, please?! Please please?" All at once there was the sound of a flute as the little quick creature stopped moving and jumped on a nearby stump. "You can go if you solve our game! It's fun!" It played a few notes and then was joined by a few more flutes as more of the little men ran out of the brush. "You found us a maiden! A very fair maiden, brother of the forest!"

The creatures cocked their heads, then ran together, huddling in and whispering. Then one popped his head up, readjusting a scarecrow reminiscent hat on his head. "We have come to a decision. The game will have stakes!" The other two echoed! "STAKES!" The third continued. "Your lady friend is pretty. We like her as she is. We know what you intend, we see it in your hearts as they are pure. Therefore...." They hop up onto stumps, tree branches...."You must find us by sound alone. You have ten minutes. Do so....and you may leave to explore our forest to your content. Fail.....and something fun will happen! Exciting, huh?!?!" There is laughter, and suddenly the three jump about, running through the trees. "Remember, you can leave.....with a surprise!"

The guard sighed. "We don't have to. I know the way, and it's not this direction. But you might want to." There was laughter in the trees again, but no sign of the Skull Children. "They're troublesome but they aren't hostile. Mostly pranks. Although they seemed to like-...."

Zelda decided to try and put her pride aside, slowly uncover herself, and move to try and track them down through audio alone. Hey, maybe it'd be easier to find them by the sound of their giggling at her soft, supple body... okay, now she needed to yell at her own mind for being perverted.

Suddenly there was music all around her. It was immediately apparent that three separate instruments were playing one song. Then after a few seconds, they weren't. Three different melodies hung in the air around them. It was very confusing. Obviously, each one was coming from inside the tree cover.

The guard started in another direction, humming a tune. Zelda was suddenly a little more alone, and she could feel that though the hands were gone, the breeze was still caressing her unclothed form. On top of that, she could feel every blade of grass she stepped on, or that grazed her calves. But when she began singing, the tunes whittled down to just one. If she followed that, she might find something yet. But, anxiety-provoking enough was that the tunes continued to hasten.
