You’re not sure where you've found yourself. It looks like a quarry, but it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that you’re stranded and alone with just sand and rocks as far as the eye can see.

You walk around for hours, sweating under the hot sun, but you’re still in the middle of the same nowhere, and it’s starting to get dark. The heat’s unbearable, but the cold will be even worse. Then, all of a sudden, the silence is punctured by a strange wheezing groaning sound, and you turn to see a large blue police box that alternatively fills you with hope then despair as it blinks in and out of vision.

Fortunately, it finally decides to fully materialise. You watch it for a few seconds, hoping it’s not a mirage, and then the door’s pushed open from within, and a woman strides out.
