Chapter 5 by Suckersoprano Suckersoprano

Drop the sheet?

Do as she said, drop the sheet.

Dago shook his head, but he raised his hands and dropped the sheet. There was a distinguishable squeak from behind him.

“Were you the one who took my clothes?” Dago asked, recovering from laughing only when he realized she threatened to kill him.

“I just wanted to make sure you weren’t hurt!” the woman behind him insisted.

“Didn’t you say I was a demon?” Dago asked, confused at her logic.

“That doesn’t mean I have to be cruel!”

“You could have left my clothes, you know.”

“They’re in the wash!”

“Can I pick up the sheet now?”

“Y-yes.”

Dago turned around to pick up the sheet, giving the small blonde woman a mischievous grin before he stooped to grab the sheet. She looked about as red as a tomato and a little light headed. He wrapped the sheet around his waist again.

“Why do you think I’m a demon?” Dago asked when it seemed the woman had calmed down a bit.

“You fainted when you got in here,” the woman said with a knowing look, “I might look naïve, but not that naïve.”

“That isn’t much of a solid argument,” Dago said, using just the right amount of glamour to get her to believe him.

Does she believe him?
