Do as Tanya asks.

You agonise over the decision as eight o'clock gets closer. Finally you decide that you don't want to lose Sarah.

You strip naked and take the diaper out of the box. Unfolding it, you lay it on the bed and examine it. It's pretty obvious how it is meant to go on but you take your time, not eager to be wearing it.

Unable to delay any more, you sit on the diaper and lay back. As you pull the padding up between your legs, you feel extremely babyish. You fasten the tapes and stand up. It feels bulky and pushes your thighs apart, making you walk awkwardly.

You put on the t-shirt and look at yourself in the mirror. Going to a party like this would be bad enough. There's no way you want your neighbours to see you like this. You pull a pair of loose track pants on over the diaper and a jacket over the t-shirt.

You stick the pacifier into your pocket and head out to your car, walking as normally as you can manage.

When you arrive at Sarah's house, you remove your jacket and track pants and clip the pacifier to your t-shirt. Watching the clock in your car, you wait until 7:58 before you get out and walk nervously to the front door.

"The baby's here!" Tanya announces as you walk in. Everyone turns to look at you. There are giggles. Some people make comments to those around them but thankfully you can't make out what they are saying.

"Daniel!" Sarah greets you with a hug. "You came." She leads you through the guests into the living room, where a large playpen has been set up.

"I guess that's for me." You say.

"Yep." Tanya opens the gate. "In you go."

"But I want to play with the baby." A woman complains.

"Me too." Comes another woman's voice.

Others join in.

"I guess he can stay out of the playpen if you are going to watch him." Tanya says. "What do you think Daniel?"
