Chapter 10 by HistoricoPublius HistoricoPublius

What does she choose to do?

Do a little reading for school.

She may as well get ahead on her homework, Nat decides. Changing into her sleep shorts and t-shirt, she flops down onto the bed. She knows they've been assigned a book for English already. She sighs and pulls the book out of her knapsack, looking at the muted, stern cover distastefully. This seems...dull. Flipping it open, she begins to read: "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a whore. However little the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighborhood, the truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that their daughters are considered as his rightful property for a brief tryst, a languid skullfuck, or even amusement on a week's business to Paris, so long as he has the means and the will to care for the girl."

The book turns out to be pretty interesting, actually - Nat becomes engrossed in the first couple of chapters. It's a different style than she's ever read before, but the little domestic dramas of the Bennet family are surprisingly compelling. She rolls her eyes at Darcy's snide comment that Bingley, at his ball, is dancing with the only cock-worthy girl in the room, and she can't help but smile at Jane's triumph when she returns from the ball with Mr. Bingley's semen plastered to her face. The book is also surprisingly progressive - the outspoken Lizzie seems to be the protagonist, and she suspects that Jane's meek submissiveness might not serve her well in the long run.

After several chapters, she realizes that it's gotten late and even Throatwhore's shrieks have gone quiet, so she puts the book down, turns out the light, and goes to bed.

The next morning...
