Diversity becomes mandatory

2 days after the 4th white girl Wednesday the third and final referendum is held. There is no doubt the support side still has the most people on their side. The issue is to have 70% of all the students supporting. That’s how the 2nd referendum was lost. The week after Eve is sitting down with Michael and Sally of The Mandatory Diversity Committee.

“Well.” Michael says. “This may very well be the last time we are together.”
Eve smiles and says, “Let’s hope we can end it on a high note.”
“Right.” Michael says. “First and foremost. Let’s discuss the attendees of the 4th white girl Wednesday. We haven’t had time for that.”
Eve nods and allows Sally to give her report.
“I say we can be proud of the white girls attending this university.” Sally begins. “Over 87% of all the white girls on campus have had interracial sex. At the beginning of last year, that was only 1.8%. It is clear the white girls are very progressive and have embraced diversity with open arms.”
“What about the guys?” eve asks.
“It took a while,” Sally starts, “But it seems like they have turned around. Based on the amount of white guys who claim to have experienced diversity for the first time during a white girl Wednesday, we can say nearly 25% of them have been documented to have had interracial sex.”
“Most of them did so on the 3rd and 4th time we held the event.” Michael explains. “In my eyes the ‘white for whites’ made them realize just what side they were really on.”
“Black guys again showed themselves exemplary. Out of the now 1995 black male students on campus 1970 participated in this white girl Wednesday alone.” Sally says. “Black girls however have only diversified for 76%. Just like the white guys, they too were apprehensive at first. But once the ‘white for whites’ came into play they were quick to give the white guys a chance to prove they weren’t racist.”
“What about the others.” Eve asks.
“Asian girls and Latino/Native American guys and girls all reached more than 80% participation. Asian and Arab guys both engaged in diversity for 85%. The only ones lagging behind are the Arab girls with only 50% of them participating.”
Eve waits a moment to take in the numbers.
“What about pregnancy rate.” Eve asks. “Do you have any word on that?”
“While many students accepted the condoms we made available during the white girl Wednesday events, many of them have been found in the rooms or in trashcans unopened.” Michael explains. “It seems that despite them being available many students simply choose not to use them.”
Eve sighs. “Well, we did our best.” She says. “We can’t **** students to use condoms, only make them available for those who want to.”
“In the last poll, it appears that around 500 white girl seem to have been impregnated by non-white men. This more than doubles the previous 213.” Sally continues. “Among the black girls 58 of them have gotten pregnant by non-black partners. Amongst the Asian girls there are now 46 that have been knocked up with interracial babies. Latina girls are up to 32 and out of the 50 Arab girls that had interracial sex, 14 of them are now pregnant.”
Sally then closes her book and says, “That then leads to 650 pregnancies or 4% of all the girls in this university.”

“All in all very interesting.” Eve says. “Thank you very much for all your hard work.”
Eve then takes an envelope out of her bag.
“Yesterday the student council counted the votes.” Eve continues. “In here are the results. I have not seen them myself.”
“Was Johnathan there when the votes were counted?” Michael asks.
“He and two others.” Eve says.
“Did they cause any problems?” Sally asks.
Eve smiles and says, “Kinda difficult to cause problems when security is all around.”
Michael and Sally get a look of confusion.
“Is university security usually present at the vote tallies?” Michael asks.
“No,” Eve says. “but when ‘white for whites’ radicals demand to be present lest they delegitimize the outcome of the election, thus turn their back on democracy, I figured it was a necessary precaution.”
Michael and Sally look at each other, still confused.
Then Michael asks, “Did Johnathan know security would be there?”
“No.” Eve says unapologetic. “I never told him and I assume he didn’t expect it.”
Michael and Sally suddenly start laughing.
“I feared he tried to insert him so that if the results didn’t go his way he’d be able to put the votes on fire and delegitimize the results and win by default.” Michael says between laughs.
“Best figurative cockblock ever.” Sally giggles.
“Does that even count as a cockblock?” Michael asks his friend.
“Not sure.” Sally says, “But I’d like to think of it as one.”

As the two continue to laugh, eve waves the envelope in front of them to get their attention.
“Care to see what the results are?” She asks.
Michael and Sally quickly compose themselves and await the results eagerly.
Eve opens the envelope and takes out a single folded sheet of paper. She unfolds it and slowly starts reading.
“White male students opposing 39%, those in support 61%. White female students opposing 10%, those in support 90%.” Eve says.
When her friends hear the amount of support from the white girls they smirked. Despite the white guys not hitting the 70% mark, the white girls easily make up for it.
“Black male students opposing 1%, those in support 99%. Black female students opposing 11%, those in support 89%.” Eve continues.
Again Michael and Sally are happy. Both of them crossed the threshold. The success of the mandate is practically in sight.
“Asian male students opposing 10%, those in support 90%. Asian female students opposing 11%, those in support 89%. Arab male students opposing 14%, those in support 86%. Arab female students opposing 40%, those in support 60%.”
From their own polls Michael and Sally already know these groups offer high support for the mandate. They are pretty much certain the mandate has been won. All they are waiting for is for Eve to reach the end of the list.
“Latino/ native American male students opposing 27%, those in support 73%. Latina/ native American female students opposing 32%, those in support 68%.”
Eve looks up and sees the massive grins on the Committee representatives faces.
“Total number of students opposing 22%, those in support … 78%.”
Michael and Sally both cheer and hug each other.
“We did it! We got the 70%!” Sally yells.
“Diversity has finally become mandatory!” Michael cheers with her.
While the two are cheering Eve puts the paper back into the envelope.
When Michael and Sally are finished celebrating Eve has a question for them.
