Disguise

"Yeah, about that.." She mumbled, looking to the side and blushing slightly, feeling genuinely bad about what she's going to say "Someone at the hospital leaked the details of your ah, incident, to someone else and, well you know how fast things spread in this place..." She trailed off, coughing slightly as she took in the look of growing comprehension and horror on Naruto's face.

"Wait so... so everybody knows about what H-Hinata did to me?" He choked out, feeling himself go an impressive and dangerous shade of red. Oh god, everyone knew... His friends knew... It's official, he can never look anyone in the eyes again, he needs to move or become a missing nin or something.

"It's okay! Nobody knows for sure, a lot of people just think it's a stupid rumour. But the Hyuga are kicking up a fuss about it and are doing everything they can to dismiss such rumours, so is Tsunade. She's telling everyone that it's just a rumour and that you've been sent on a long term mission, so of course it couldn't be true. Just give it a couple of weeks and this will all blow over" Sakura said soothingly, rubbing his back as he slowly calmed down.

"Oh, that's great" Naruto said with a slow breath out "So, what, I just have to hide out in here for a few weeks? That's not so bad" He'd be bored beyond belief but he could manage that, he'd just have to rely on Sakura to get food for him in the meantime.

"Oh no, we've already sorted that out!" Sakura said with a cheerfull smile "As far as anyone else is concerned, I'm watching your apartment while you're gone and a friend of mine has offered to move in with me and keep me company! We'll just have to get you in a decent disguise and nobody will even know it's you" She'd been the one to pass the idea along to Tsunade, who originally was going to send him on an actual mission to the sand village until this all blew over.

"Wow, you're amazing Sakura-Chan" Naruto said with a small smile, gratefull to have such an amazing friend "So what's my disguise? Will I be your secret boyfriend? An ANBU coming from a super secret mission?" Naruto bounced a little, imagining all the cool super secret disguises he could become
