Dinner date

I figure that I should go all out right away and go for a date that it is clear that it's a date, so I say:

"Perhaps I could take you to dinner sometime soon?" Then I hold my breath and wait for her reply.

"Oh, that'd be lovely!" Millie replies.

Great, I think to myself and we agree that I will pick her up on Saturday at 7pm.
